Relational PSYCHOtherapy
Relational psychotherapy is a powerful, effective model for working with individuals who suffer from chronic emotional, psychological, and/or relational distress. Relational psychotherapy is based on the following principles: Emotional well-being depends on having satisfying mutual relationships with others.
Sensorimotor psychotherapy
Level 2- Affect Regulation, Attachment and Trauma
Sensorimotor psychotherapy (SP) is a body-based approach that is useful when working with trauma, attachment, and developmental issues. Mindfulness is a central feature of SP. We work collaboratively, focusing on the body's habitual patterns and uncover underlying beliefs that reinforce patterned responses. Core beliefs and our ways of being in the world are often developed from early messages. Information about common responses to trauma is provided at the beginning of treatment, and clients are assisted to develop a compassionate, curious view of themselves.

I find that the modalities and foundations of Relational and Sensorimotor psychotherapy work very well together. Often what we are not conscious of or cannot speak of yet, is hiding in our bodies, waiting to be explored. I use a combination of these modalities including meditation, and mindfulness practices to discover what is best for you.
During my years working with youth and adults, I have had the honor of supporting clients with several of the dilemmas listed to the left. I look forward to how I can support you as a dynamic individual with many complexities.
